Hey guys, I'm trying to remachine a fixture by taking off just .010 off the green surfaces... I already have the original toolpath... my question is how to tell mastercam to take off an additional .010 off the surfaces, keep in mind that I will also have to take .010 off the sides so I cannot just lower the length offset of th cutter... how can I do this on mastercam? I was thinking of making the cutter smaller on Mastercam by .010 but putting the original cutter that way it'll cut .010 more... is this the correct way to do it??? Thank you guys |

| Did we miss the shrinkage of the tool and we are adjusting for it? I know this can't be a gap setting as that would be to big and it does not look like a electrode.

lol, ![]() No, it's a holding fixture but the part is too big right now... it seems we did miss the shrink compensation on either the vacuum form mold or we're using the wrong shrink comp. So just use 'Stock to leave on drive' to -.010 and I should be fine?? Thanks, all your input is appreciated guys. |
