| For Inventor files you need to have InventorView 2008 installed (available from Mastercom.com downloads). I have not worked with Soliworks files, but believe they should simply import right in. In either case when you go to open the files from their native format you have to set your file filter to the proper file type. |

| I do almost everything in MCX3 now but I just tried to import a SW design and I did it by open file > set type of file to SLDPRT > select the SW file and open it. It shows up in MCX3. I haven't tried to do any TP's with it though HTH |

| What is the actual problem? Are you getting an error? Or you just cant find where to open them from? File - Open - File type - Inventor - (pick the file). Mike Mattera
