HI everyone ![]() and thanks for taking the time to read this i am trying to do some letters with mastercam x but when I machining them the curve of the letter are like jagged .. they are not having nice curve like it seems i wonder what i have to do to solve that problem Patrick |

| Look for something like "Linerazitation Tolerance". Not sure if that's how it's worded in Mcam X. That's the value for how close toolpath follows the curve. Set it to something finer like .0001 That will give you a lot more points in your toolpath, thereby making a smoother looking cut.

| I will actually create arcs where I can. I use 3 point arcs everyday when I work with projections or splines. You can also try the filter this works well for making the toolpath more of a smooth transition and it creates arcs where it can. On the contour paremeters page you will find this. Try filtering by .001 or smaller and turning on the create arcs in xy this should work well for you. As dave mentioned the linerization tolerence helps too but will not give arc moves it actually make the program bigger but will reduce your facets and makes the toolpath more smooth. Have you turned the "filter" ON, and the "Create Arcs in XY-plane" check-mark ON, this feature must also be enabled in the MD ( Machine Definition) file, under arcs |
