Crashing through the smoke,
The endmill wrecked my part,
The tolerance was a joke,
Check out all those sparks!
I got the software cheap,
From someone on ebay,
Now my doo-doo’s getting deep,
All I can do is pray—

[chorus]:
O, Mastercam, I’m in a jam,
My CAD/CAM software stinks!
My STL imported wrong,
My solids all have chinks!
O, Mastercam, I’m in a jam,
Meet my machining needs—
My shop needs the expertise
Of 80,000 seats!

I sat down with my boss,
We came up with a plan—
”It’s not a total loss
If we get Mastercam.”
We bought a seat at once
After reading all the specs,
We even bought Maintenance
So we’d be ready for X!

We learned the software quick
In an evening by ourself—
When something didn’t click,
There was clearly written help.
The toolpath looked just right
Thanks to onscreen verify,
We posted it that night
And watched those chips fly by!

Cut solids in 3D,
And update any changing parts
With associativity.

Get all my work done twice as fast
And get a big fat raise!

At midnight on the dot,
An elf picked up the part—
A piston for a sleigh,

With a twinkle in his eye,
He checked it with his gauge,
Then he rode off on a big reindeer,
Laughing all the way!
