Whats the steps to drawing a sprocket? I know there is a easy way to do this cause ive seen it done at work but I cant remember how.

Any help guys?

Well, I have recently downloaded solid models of sprockets from Mcmaster-Carr. Much easier than drawing them...

I believe 2-D cad files are also available.

If you really want to draw it yourself you'll need to have some basic dimensions and just start creating...

OD, ID, pitch, etc... are all things you'll need to start with.

Yeah that would help but there is a way to type in the pitch and number of teeth and mastercam draws it in but I cant figure out how.

There is a gear c-hook...

Maybe that can help ? I am not sure...

Press ALT-C and look for something about gears...

Does that help ?
