You want to turn flats on the outside of a rotating part ? or put a hexagon hole into the end of a part ? hexagon hole , maybe, but not sure??? ( I think a 3 flute tool into a square end cap flats on the outside diameter, then a lathe with 4th axis is required with live tooling, or have bloody good X-axis to C-axis control and syncronised, much better than mult-start threading |

| You can mill an OD hex with C axis motion. You cant turn a Hex. I dont know of any Cam system that can do that. Only a few controls may have a built in Canned cycle. Mike Mattera
