AM i doing right?

Hello im new to Mastercam, and trying to learn myself
am i thinking right when doing Lathe work in the picture below..
i see it does what i want but is this the easiest way?

And here is something wierd going on..
Machine = Lathe
but in the toolpaths
i can only see Mill toolpaths
i tried reinstall several times just cant get it good.

#3 Question...
Isit possible to use that G1 Post processing then change some of the codeing. and then simulate it?
whenever i change and then save, and go back to Mastercam and simulate its just as it was before. ?

2. No that does not look correct, you should see lathe toolpaths, contact your reseller

3. No the simulation is based on your source program, your post processed G-code program is a completely separate entity.

Is there any very simple program i can simulate pretty much everything?

i make some high tech in mastercam, postprocess it changes abit, then simulate the new code in some other program?

for the toolpath , try to reload the machine definition

op manager>properties>files>replace

then reselect the same machine or default lathe

There are some low cost and even free toolpath simulation packages, I don't know the names offhand. Do a Google search or somebody else may be able to help

I use the free CNC simulator when I write code longhand to proof before it goes to the machine. It is basic and may lack the ability to understand some codes but it worked fine for me.
