Hey MC users, I am running X2 moving into X3 and are wondering if I can define the profile of my milling cutter such that mastercam will let me know if the NON-cutting portion of the shank is going to interfere with the workpiece? any clues are appreciated thanks |

| The only way I know how, is to make the arbor diameter slightly larger than the actual diameter. So say you have a 1/2" Endmill, with a .750 flute length. In your tool definition, make the shoulder and flute length the same amount, (.750 in this case) and make the arbor diameter .510 or something like that. You'll be able to see any shank interference when you verify. |

| Draw the tool and use it as a custom and you will see the proper tool shown in back plot and in verify. Do you nees a sample shown?
