Thanks Guys. I appreciate the endorsement.

I do my best to put thing in terms everyone can understand, cover the problems every one experiences and explain the things everyone else skips over.

Working right now to finish an Advanced Lathe C & Y axis training cd.

This package is the best deal. Introduction, Rotary & 3D Surfacing. The bundle is about 15% off of list.

This is a question for Mike. I totally understand that you are making a living selling some of your expertise by CD, and I don't want to undercut that or do something wrong. I would really like to get the 3 CD package and move on my way to becoming a Mastercam programmer. However, my company is not interested in spending the money, they are happy with the guy doing the programming as is. Would you have a problem if I bought the set, used it until I got it, and then offered it here for sale used to recoup some on my investment, which is out of my price range right now? If this feels wrong to you, just say so, I will understand and not do it. If not, I would be interested in getting them, and then hoping to get back 50% or so of my cost. I realize this might undercut a future sale for you, but perhaps I would be selling to someone like myself who can't affort the new price. Together, we could be a sale for you and a benefit to us. Thanks for your reply

That's a reasonable questions. But here's some things to consider... If you bought the 3 CD set, it would be the same as taking 2-3 classes at you local tech school. That would be more than the cost of the CD's. If you took a class, you would be lucky to remember even 50% of what was covered. When you buy these CD's your making a long term investment in your skill set as a machinist and CNC programmer. The beauty of these is you can review them any time you want.

So to answer your question: Yes you can resell them later. Of course you understand that making copies is illegal and you would be selling the original CD's. But I dont know CNC Zone will let you sell them here. I suppose there must be a "for sale" section somewhere.

======
Now Let Everyone Else Tell You Some Things:
Questions to the group (those of you who have the TFM CD's).

Have you ever had to re-reference a video to review a process?

Have you ever learned more the 2nd or 3rd time watching a video?

Would you be willing to give up your TFM training CD's?
=========

Most people will tell you that they keep their CD's just like they would keep any reference book. Even I go back and look at my cd's every now and then, because I cant remember it all.

Knowledge is power. I would guess most of the people here purchased the CD's them selves, even when the company wouldn't buy them. They see it as another tool that they will take with them to the next job. You realize it's probably a tax deduction for you as well.

Just some things to think about.

Feel free to email me direct if you have any other questions.

Training CD'S

Have you ever had to re-reference a video to review a process?
Many time's. That's why I love this type of learning vs classroom. I subscribed to Streaming Teacher about a year ago for 90 day's. Very good instruction, but when your time was up, no more video !

Have you ever learned more the 2nd or 3rd time watching a video?
Alway's pick up something I overlooked or forgot.

Would you be willing to give up your TFM training CD's?
No. I keep them to go along with the book's I have & I have quite a few.

Thank's for all you do Mike . Harold C.

Thumbs up

I would never sell the CD's ....

that's like buying a snap on tool like a scanner and putting it up

and selling it when you don't use the tool .. but it sure handy when you have it

I was bummed out about the price ... but got them when they went on special

I regret not getting them a few years ago I would have paid full price or more

I would be so far ahead of the game on programming

Thats why i started this thread The CD's are that good
