Hi, I am new to using the surface options on mastercam x2 and wanted to know if anyone could help me with the trimming surface option. On the file I attached there is a notch on the part that I wanted to 3d mill with the finish surface toolpath. I wanted to trim the surface around the outside of the notched area so I can start my toolpath there. Can this be done ? Thanks Can someone help me on how to save screen shot as a .gif file so I can attach Last edited by data-matique; 12-10-2008 at 05:48 PM. | Use a tool boundary and you do not have to trim the surfaces. create a Rectangle for example above the area you want to cut and pick this as a boundary.
