Hi all, This one has me stumped. Have a curve in the XZ plane, which needs to be cut into material using the tool dia offset, via a series of z depth cuts. Can't get the appropriate tool offset to work using 3d contour. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks dave |

| You have the comp set for computer. Try wear or control comp. (Wear is delta between actual tool rad and programmed rad --control is measured tool rad entered in control) . If your control is set for dia comp (wear is delta between actual tool dia and programmed dia) ditto ditto ditto. Assuming your machine is capable of 3-d cutter comp. If not you will most likely get an alarm turning on comp in g18 or g19 plane. |
