Problem- need help in mastercam

hello!
I have a problem in mastercam postprocessor (woodworking ROUTER)

when i use the ingraving function to do a profile (XY Plane), the postprocessor generates the arcs to many lines and final file become to much long.

but this problem does not come when i use the contour option... WHY??

i use the engraving option to make sharp corner between arc and line or two lines.

making sharp corner in contour is impossible (no automatic X,Y with Z movement to reduce the tool radios with Vpoint Tool).

do you have any solution?

Well,
The problem is probably not the postprocessor.
By default, the contour function is a 2D, planar, operation. (X & Y, or X & Z, or Y & Z)
There are ways to make it do 3D tool movement, like what you want. (X, Y, and Z)
But most of the time that involves custom geometry. (I find using centerline geometry easiest)
Without seeing exactly what you are trying to machine, I can't be more help.
But, knowing that the engraving function is designed to place a Vtool down the midpoint of two edges, such as an engraved letter, it will always output a series of straight lines.
Hence the 3D XYZ movement.
The best way to reduce the size of your posted file is to filter the straight line movements into arcs.
Be aware, however, filtering will not create arcs that are not in the G17, G18 or G19 planes.
