i would need to cut the teeth of this ratchet??? The OD is 1.25 and the ID is 1.055. also i am planning to cut this ratchet out of a solid block of dtainless steel (316). I plan on contouring around the teeth. |

| I couldn't open the file but if it's a ratchet tooth profile, there is no way to cut the sharp inside corners as a profile. You'll have to machine it from the side of the ratchet: with a 4-axis machine or on a manual indexer.

| I am with greg that would be a good way to go or make a form tool and do it on the 4th indexing program one get the rest easily. Here is a picture of the part.

| I agree. Wire edm would be great. If you don't have one 4th axis is the way to go. I would : 1-> Blank them out in a lathe. 2->Set up on a 4th axis indexer for the teeth. A modified drill mill would work fine. 3->Profile the square boss. Timing off of a dowel pin set into soft jaws. |
