| Look for a C-hook called RAST2VEC, this one will allow you to open pictures in MC and create tool paths. It will take a lot of playing with the settings to get something you consider usable, but overall not too bad. I am not sure it will work with Word documents though, as I have never tried that. |

| The RAST2VEC is an add-on for the user before X3. if you are a Mastercam customer with X3 this is now included along with the engraving option. If you are a Router customer of Mastercam you have the C-hook option even before X3. Patrick interesting company relations you have here in Cali.I am surprised not to see Solid Concepts of that area on your list.

| icaro57 Wait you want to use a font that is inside or word, I am thinking if so you so not need any extra tool. Use create letters then pick truetype fonts and any font in your word on the same computer can be used in mastercam.

| I'm always looking to expand upon my website. The thing I want to avoid is becoming a machining site full of peripheral advertisers. If you noticed, the site is all about giving smaller shops more visibility on the internet when larger companies are searching for vendors. I think that concept would tend to get lost if I had pop ups and a lot of non-directly related companies intermingled in with actual machine shops. I'm not sure how best to approach this issue except to do a little blurb on the blog area of SanDiegoCNC. I may eventually have a sister site set up that the two can link together and keep separate at the same time. Any suggestions? Patrick |
