Hi I attached 3 files.Base geometry , a surface of same and a solid of same. The surface has the correct shape. why does the solid have the twists on the corners. I know that I can give the surface a bottom and a top floor and then convert to a solid , but would like to know if theres a easy way out. Files done in MC 9.1. Did try it on MC X2 MR2 as well with the same result. Thanks Deon |

| The answer is "sync mode" in the chaining process. I achieved the correct result in a solid by first creating lines connecting each entity between the top chain and the bottom chain with a line using 3D mode. Then I selected Solid, Loft. When the chaining manager came up I selected "C-Plane" method (so it wouldn't stop at every intersection). I also clicked the "!" and set the sync mode to "by branch"... Chain the original 2 chains, select the ruled option, and you should have a nice smooth solid. I did this in X3 Demo version but it should be the same as X2... |
