Cutting a pocket around a hole

I need to cut out a pocket around a 3in diameter plug. When i choose a pocket chain, it will just cut the whole inside, including the plug. How do you specify additional boundaries for pocket cutting. thx

You need to chain around your pocket and click on end chain then chain around your plug in the middle and click on end chain then click ok. This process will keep the tool path from cutting the whole pocket and leave the plug in the middle. Hope this helps.

Race 10 is just about right pick the outer chain always first be the main pocket then choose the boss dia. you do not need to pick end of chain before picking the next chain.

if you still have issues, try and right click on the geometry of the pocket tool-path in the operations manager and add a chain then select the boss feature chain, I use this sometimes on unclosed chains to add when cam will not let me.
