Hello all, new to this site but glad I found it. I am using mastercam x2 and cimco nc editor and notice that whenever I post out a program, its outputs and NC file and an ERR file. Does anyone know what the err file is and how I can prevent it from being posted? Thanks in advance! |

| Yes this post was migrated over from version 9. This post worked perfectly on our machines through version 9 and when it was "updated" by x2, it screwed it all up. Not real impressed with that changeover. |

| I have to remember what part it is, there is a part in the post that did not update correctly and that is why it is not see the difference between Comment and code.Try changeing to one of the default posts just to test, you will see it work.

| The post is for Haas and mori seki. After the conversion, the new post wasnt posting out arcs correctly, tapping cycles correctly and a few other minor glitches. The whole machine and control definition sections are confusing at best. Overall I like the new X2 though it strangely resembles the solidworks interface?!?!? The whole transfer over from MC9 was clumsy and not smooth and efficient as hoped. Had lots of problems with the importing of all of our MC9 files as well. Kept encountering and error and shutting down. Have talked some with our dealer but they often act like they are to busy to help out. Except when it comes to pitching higher mill levels of the software. They always have time for that lol. |

| Sounds like you got the wrong dealer! We also had major problems as our posts are all on a server instead of each individual computer. Our dealer worked with us, but eventually a representative had to come out & do the work.Sure is a bummer to have the posts set up exactly as you like...only to have to start over again modifying the posts after getting them switched to X2. "cadcam" helped me (along with a couple others from emastercam.com) to get ours modified just the way we wanted them. Thanks again, cadcam. |
