| I have been using a CNC router at my university and consistantly encouter errors in the pathing while it is being milled. Small circular motions in the yz or xz dimension cut into the geometry being cut (up to 2 inch diameter). This occurs mostly on geometry where two planes meet or a steep incline in Z (surface toolpathing). I am not familiar with g-code or how the machine reads it so I am not sure if this may be related to how mastercam is reading the geometry and putting out the wrong g code (does not show errors in mastercam previews) or if the machine drivers (techno cnc router) are reading the information incorrectly. Could anyone let me know if they have experienced similar problems or if they know why this would occur, thanks. Some of the errors can be seem in the image in the following link. especially in the bottom of the image. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3157/...81956c.jpg?v=0 |

| Mine also gets the same results. once the code is posted I can see it in my editor. It's very annnoying, but the fix is simple. I simply edit either the X or Y coordinate, depending on the direction of travel (at the point of the problem) by a value of 0.0001". The problem then goes away and everything is happy. Also.....hello everbody!! This is my first post here. I've been observing here for a while. I am a veteran programmer, but have only been using MasterCam for about 2 yrs now. Currently on X2 MR2 and ready to make the jump to X3 as soon as I hit a lull in my workload. |
