X Demo

my boss handled the programming of our sim-5 machines. he left out company recently. i have called mastercam numerous times explaining that i want to try out x to see if it's worth while for my employer to train me or not. they send me to me nearest rep and i never hear back. does anyone have any suggestions for getting a demo not trial of x? i want to be able to get a book and play with it in my spare time to see if i want to persue anything besides hand coding.

mordantly,You will not be able to get it from any other place but the local dealer. if you have troubles contact me as I am not sure were you are in Ca.I know all the dealers in Ca and will be able to help.
As for the Design LT you don't want that.

The problem is not giving you a trial to use. The problem is, what are you going to do to learn it properly? It will look different than V9, so of course you wont like that (nobody does). You wont use it, because you'll tell yourself "I have a hot job and I can do this faster in V9". Which of course it true, without training. But if you take a class and get a feel for the differences, they're differences you'll like. But to drop off some software on your door step and then try to teach you over the phone, is a lot of work when you have nothing invested in learning it. Tell your dealer you'd like to sign up for a class and you'd like a trial for 45 days to get a feel for X.

Commit to learning it and I'm sure he'll commit to getting you the trial. Give a little, get a little.

Don't listen to Mr Dertsheep either. What he's saying is "there' a lot of people who lie, cheat and steal. You can be one of them too". Don't you want to be like China! No moral compass , no consideration for human rights or the intellectual rights of someone else's creation.

mastercam sucks! there so disrespectful. i tried a fourth time to contact my "rep" and said screw it. i talked to the corp people at westec in la.. its a broken record. "contact the local dealer" doesn't it cost $30k? plus the subscription to the updates. what a ripoff. ive got x mill and lathe books so does anyone want to copy the demo for me?

Really, sorry to here you are having trouble. you came to the show. And did not talk to me I see. Well that is not the cost and most are happy with it.
If you ask me nicely as I am not disrespectful. I can get you the disk of X3 Demo.
Would you want CD or DVD.
Send me a PM on how I can contact you.
OK I see you are in the bay area. I was talking to your local dealer yesterday. I can still help you. As I do work with them to.

I dont understand. Everyone says "Talk to your local dealer". Did You? Pick up the phone and talk to them. Everyone is busy these days, but I'm sure if you give them a call and explain what your looking for, and what your willing to do to learn it, They'll work something out.

A couple of suggestions:
1) Get a demo. Have a look at the software. Meet the people.
2) Try not to tell them how bad they "Suck".
That might not be the best way to get them on your side.

Good working relationships are founded, where everyone gets what they want and everyone treats the other with respect.
