MasterCam 8 and Mach2

Are these programs compatible???

I friend is running MasterCam 8 on his machine and we wanted to try it with my machine using Mach2 as interface. The computer hang up and become soooo slow. Did we do something wrong or is it just a impossible combination.

Also, if they work together then will it be possible to run Mach 2 from inside MasterCam? (I know this should be possible with other soft like Galaad)

Its not the combination with Mastercam, it is Mach2 itself.
Mach2 does unorthadox things to windows in order to work.
If you are planning to use Mach2 make sure you use it immediately after booting up your computer, and if you want to use other programs, reboot your computer after using Mach2.
It is not a fault or bug, but a just something that Mach2 needs to do in order to work properly in a windows environment.
