| 1). How do you get to the Define Plane Menu. It is in the help. Then I want to define a plane to limit bottom of cut. Is that a Check plane?

| Are you trying to limit a surface toolpath? there is depth limits were you do not have to pick or define a surface as a limit ,but just a amount. Picture.

| That is a thought of setting planes to cut in or draw in not to control the depth cut. is that what you want is to draw in a defined plane?

| Mr Cadcam. What I have is a strange curved bumpy shape, and I want to start with a solid piece of material holding it by it's ends and machine the shape as a cavity almost to breaking through the base using a ball nose mill, then go around the outline with a square ended mill mill to break out the finished part. That is I need to define some fences to keep define the outline of my cavity, with the required shapes jutting up out of the cavity. Thanks. Neil

| Do you know about creating tool boundary's? this will contain the tool in the cavity area. Are you tool maker?

| Here is the file to you. It is an IGS file and does not come up as a solid, so this makes it a bit more difficult. I want to use a 3/16" ball nose cutter. There is a second file (AICS.sat) I am trying to get a handle on too. It uses a 1/2" ball nose. I really appreciate your prompt help. Slight delay due to fact that SYIL Aust just rang me. I get involved with their faults. Same strategy to make. I am going to make two of each, sliced through the middle and glue them together (today I hope.) Machined out of 18mm x 140mm Flat fine grained particle board, so 250mm/minute at 1800 rpm is good. Do you need any electronic assistance? Thanks. Neil

| Need cavity 18mm deep with 15mm hook thing sticking up as an island. Then the final cut will give me half a hook. Then make another and glue them together. Both items are of a similar nature. Thanks Muchly. Neil.
