Cut body, teeth

I would like to know the correct way to get the teeth profile from the attached file. I created the geometry, no problem, but can't figure out ,correct way to chain profile, to do a cut body, to get teeth in solid model. I get error msg. "chains must be closed for extrusion into a solid body ", checked chains, seemed ok, but I'm missing something. Any help ,greatly appreciated. Harold OH ! Using X2 MR2

Boy, lots of new cracked versions of X2 on here lately. Wish I knew how to get it.

Some of us have paid dearly in the form of tuition and fees. That's a pretty broad brush stroke my friend.

Cut Body, teeth

Thank You Cadcam. I never would have figured out to use that function & to modify the geometry to be able to use sweep. If I'm looking at your geometry right, you had to basically over extend the lines in order to cut the grooves ? The reason I say that is I tried Solid sweep on my model & it would not work. One other question. To do a toolpath on these teeth, Can you do a countour, pick bottom of groove, & on lead-in & lead-out box, at bottom of box, check box to extend both lead-in & lead-out. If you do it this way can you do all 36 grooves at one time instead of one at a time ? Or how would you do it ? Thank's for your time. Harold
