Hello fellow MC users... I was wondering if anyone of you can offer some insight as to the best approach to machine this part. I know it it very simple, and I can do some simple pocket cuts, but notice how one edge is at an angle. If I was going to machine this from the top (as the wcs is currently oriented) is there a way to machine the tenon part, while maintaining the angle on the edges? I guess this is what I need help with, but I could not figure out a toolpath in mastercam to help me do it. I know there is probably some parameter which I am not providing MC. Using MC x2. Any help would greatly be appreciated...thanks in advance! |

| I did this with tow different tools one a .25 sharp and a .25 ball to let you see both. I used flowline for the path.

| there is a lot more to flowline than I thought! Thanks! That looks promising...now to actually go cut it...from the simulation it seems pretty straight forward. THanks again for taking the time to look at this. |

I was wondering if anyone of you can help me make this part. I understand it to be very simple for MC users. This just doesn't happen to be my field of expertise. and I have just started learning the basics to creating geometry in mastercam. I need to machine this part in my uni workshop's CNC milling machine as part of an assignment. Using MC x2. Any help would greatly be appreciated thanks in advance! |
