Changing Arc Output?

Using Mastercam X2 MR2

I'm trying to get our posts to output arcs as one continuous arc rather than breaking it into quadrants and to get helix bore operations to output as true are type helix rather than very small linear moves. I have changed the switches in the post to not break arcs, etc, and changed the control definition to do the same, but to no avail will it do it. Is there something I am missing? A filter or something?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi:

I added G05 to first program block "Start of File and Toolchange Setup" in the post:

N100 G00 G05 G17 G40 G70 G80 G90

this did it for our VMC (3 X FAGOR 8055iA)

I do not see a G05 listed for our machines. What is the G05?

On the Fagor 8055M control, G05 sweeps the cutter around a corner vs. making a sharp corner (cutter stops at end of path). On our machine, befor using G05, the table was "jerking" on every move, including helical interpolation, and any arc moves.

regards

Open your post in the editor and look for these variables. breakarcs = yes. Change it to = no

Thanks Mike. That was one of the first tings I did the other day. I went back through all of our posts, machine definitions, and control definitions and made sure everything was set correctly. Code is now output as a helix.

Now the other problem with the helix code output is that the helix finish pass starts at the bottom of the hole and cuts out of the part. I'd rather have it rapid back out of the part after the roughing pass/passes and helix back into finished depth.
