Mastercam is a very useful tool. I have been using it since v3.0 (dos) It has come a very long way since it's meager beginings. Like most software you just have to work with it, every day, for hours. But once you understand it better it will become a very quick way to generate NC programs of any complexity. Practice makes perfect with anything like a CAM system.

The first question I ask my students is do you want to learn? If not they will never get it.
some people by nature will never get it and they should find something else to do. Is it overwhelming, yes, but if you stay at it it is not bad to overcome. I like CAD/CAM Jay open it up even on weekends for well over 15 years or more, why because I love teaching Mastercam i you dont use it you lose it really makes sense here and I also love creating and bringing peoples ideas to life. it is all in what you want. you want to learn there is many more resources available to new people learning Mastercam now than ever before. go to my site I have some stuff that may help.
Steve

I feel you Steve. I am always willing to teach anyone who is willing to listen. It's not easy but I have had some spectacular results teaching other people to use mastercam. They took to it like a duck to water.

Ok Mastercam is hard then throw them away, and pick the one you find more comfortable and easy for you.
