I am trying to skip using the indexing or rotary toolpath option in mcx2. What I have is a 1"x1"x12" stock that I want to cut an identical pocket in each side without going through the extra work of using the 4th axis options in mc. The easiest way to do this that I can think of is program the pocket copy and paste it 3 times then after processing manually write in the rotation comands between each pasted program (a0 cut,a90cut,a180cut,a270cut). The thing I have to work out is how can I find the end of each program in the unedited g-code quickly, is there a way to mark the end point when processing the program. Please enter any suggestions I love to experiment. Ddog |

| Why not use transform rotate and done. Take you about 30 seconds to do and got all you want from what you sound like may spends hours doing a different way. If you are not sure how to do it someone will be glad to explain how to do it. I would suggest you call your dealer and I am sure they can give you a example that will show you how to do this very quick. |

| Write one program for one side. Run it with the work offset A=0. Then change the workoffset to A=90 for the next side, or use a different work offset, with the only difference being the A register value. This will work on a Haas controller, not sure about others.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give both of those a try as well as check out the one I mentioned. The variety of input is why I use cnczone instead of the reseller and the response is much quicker. All suggestions are appreciated. Ddog |
