Make sure you have a solid in the solidworks file. Might try saving it as V17 parasolid and see if that works.
I am trying to bring in a solid model from solidworks and keep getting this error
"cannot find parasolid data in solidsworks file."
what am i doing wrong or need to do to fix this.I am new to solids and i do not have a clue.
Thanks,
MAX RPM

is it a version 2007 or maybe a 2008 SW file can you find out?

2008 version,it will open when saved as a parasolid file__any suggestions?
Thanks,
MAX RPM
The issue is most likey that you are running X2 and not X2 Mr2 as this one supports SW 2008 and Mr1 and X2 supported 2007. outputing the parasolid 17 was supported for a while.
Are you just running X2 or later and I am going to ask are you on Maintence?
