Better Way To Pocket In X2?

I uploaded this Mastercam X2 file:

http://www.mediafire.com/?bxczydtxh9c

I would like some suggestions on how to better pocket. I am using Island Facing with a .250 endmill and the path takes a long time.

On the .25 pocket toolpath use pocket remachining. I will cut where the larger tool would not reach. Also I would remove the Use Island depth in my depth cut parameters.

I got pocket remachining to work with the .250 cutter but it only if I Use Island depth in my cut parameters. It will not work without it.

Mc user please review my programs on your file the first groups are yours and the last are mine as posted. Take notice I used a true stock corner for the stock. I also used the entire solid no wire and I included the chamfers on the edges and I chamfered the drilled holes when spotting.
Also if the part is Alum it will cut in 21 min instead of over 40 min.

The difference on what you are cutting is the style and feed and speeds of the paths.

So you started this file on wed the 28th just trying different stuff on Thursday and Friday and some on Saturday I see. You grabbed this from which book as I have seen it before just can't remember which one.

Later jay

The part is an exercise from the Mastercam Handbook. I have tried a lot of different settings on this part trying to learn what the different parameters in Mastercam X2 do. I will look closely at what you did tomorrow and see what I can learn. Hopefully a lot! Thanks for your time and effort.

I have no mcx2 to look at your file

Can you save your file to mcx and attach here for me...

Thanks

P.S

How we delete the match arc in MCX?
I have no problem with MC9

I have a rectangle with 3 corners fillet radius .25 and 1 corner radius .5
I use function : All.. -> arc -> same as then select the .25 radius... but when I press end selection button it also delete the .5 radius too,

if I save the file as a previous version then we loose the paths. I would have to go back in and start the paths from scratch. and I am sorry no time left tonight to do this as I am trying to finish a program for a titanum hinge for a customer.

When you use the Create fillet chain option it prompts you if you want to change existing fillets to. say yes or no pretty much.
Download this 60 sec Avi and this should answer that thought.

That fillet chains function are work fine
But I mean MCX the delete function not woking as MC9

Example:
If I have 10 circles with .5 diameter, and 20 circles with .25 diameter
All I want is to delete the 20 circles .25 diameter with mask arc,but it does'nt work, MCX only mask arc not mask arc size ,it going delete all my circle

Following step
Draw circles
Delete button->All button->check Arc box->Click on Same as... button-> select the 1 of the 20 small diameter Arc->Click OK->click on End select button it going delete all my circle, but MC9 it only delete the 20 small diameter circles

Thank you
