| Contact your dealer they are great resource. Also there is a book that comes with the software when you buy it that should really help. Biggest thing it to start with the basics. I would tell the owner of your company to look to X2 since drawing is night to day different than V9. There are also schools that offers classes that can help you as well. |

| I would not go to the NTMA, but he won't be able to sense there is not one in the UK. Most of the ones teaching at the NTMA these days do not know the software very well at all as they have chased the good instructors out. PS try these books. http://www.emastercam.com/resources/

| Livvy, Be careful at what books you get. some books do not go into the detail you need for beginners. I have read a few transcripts of v-9 books for publishers and they were books I would never recommend I was very suprised some even made the cut. Before spending $50 to $150 on a v-9 book ask around to see if people have used or even liked them. Training videos are also another option. | Forget the books! I have never seen a book that was worth a darn. Find someone who know how and spend an hour or two with them just to get you started. Once you know a little about the user interface it's all about seat time the more you try the more you will learn. SEAT TIME SEAT TIME SEAT TIME

| I agree with JROM... if ya wanna learn it sit down and play with it. trial and error is bout the best way to learn. You mess up drawing, then youll remember not to do it that way. The books will get you started, but not very reader friendly, Good Luck! |
