Default MC9 mill toolpath in lathe-newbie question

Looking at the file I attached, my line represents the centerline of my lathe spindle. What I'm trying to do is basically mill off half the part at the centerline so it looks like a "c" from the front. Now even though the line is drawn along the z-axis, when I backplot or post, it seems to think that the z-axis is now the x-axis and what should be the x-axis is the y-axis .Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Scolee

make sure your planes are set correct, I used D+ Z+. You can draw using rightside veiw this would be the face of the part as it sits in the spindle, then switch to D+ Z+ to add toolpaths to your part. That might not be much help but its been a while since I programmed lathe C-axis toolpaths.

You were trying to use mill contour instead of Caxis contour and define the diamator of the stock.

here is a quick change post and see the Z instead of X axis.

You see testcadcam file in the folder now.
