Mastercam Student Version on Amazon?

Well I am well on my way with my CNC router thanks to all the great posts on this board. I am now starting to look at some software. CAD and controller is the easy part but CAM...

I have seen a demo of Mastercam at one of the shows I attended and was very impressed. Unfortunately, it is way out of my price range. I have stumbled upon this book on amazon.com, which comes with a student version of mastercam.

I am interested to find out what version and module of mastercam comes with the book as it is not specified on amazon’s website (unless I overlooked it). More importantly, I would like to find out what the software limitations are i.e. student version versus regular version. This seems like a very good deal but if the software is non functional than I’d rather not waste $80.

I don't think you can post from the student version, or maybe you can't save files.

What you are call a stent version is most likly a Demo copy.
Here is the thought can you save the file?
If you can't this is a demo and you will not be able to code with it.

Now if it were a Edu version then you would have the dongle and be able to save and make all the code you wanted.
