Wink HyperMill vs Esprit Vs One CNC vs Mastercam

Hello everybody,

Can someone give me a comparison on HyperMill vs Esprit Vs One CNC vs Mastercam. Actually I'm searching a cam software for Impellers & Blisks machining. I'd really appreciate if someone could suggest me a cam software for simultaneous 5 axis machining of above mentioned components with context to cost, time for learning, after sales support aspects.

TIA,

Mudasser.

Mastercam Has a very good interface I use it but don't be fooled without previous cad or cam knowledge that it is going to be easy to do. send the a part and have them in to cut your part on your machine. See if you can watch them program it after you let them play with it for a couple days, how will the post work for your machine? pictures are pretty how does it run. Big decision research it.

Mastercam has controls like this sample page for cutting Impellers.

OneCNC doesn't have 5 axis continuous machining, it has 5 axis positional. You can do an impeller but, you have to go through some complex positional tool paths.

Other than that, it is extreamly easy to learn and use.

Master Cam has a plus of being very easy to learn and get a hang off.

In my drafting-3 year at high school, i had never used any CNC software before in my life, and it only took me about roughly 5 hours, spread out over 2 weeks, to get the hang of the program.

Also another plus is if you get their tutorial book with the software, it is best tutorial book I have ever used. It contains large pictures and very easy instructions that make learning the program a breeze.

However I have never used any of the other programs you mentioned, and it's a large responsibility you have there in your company so good luck making your choice.

Since you have asked about hyperMILL in a Mastercam forum, here goes ...

hyperMILL's 5-axis technology is developed within. There is no software with broader set of strategies, and there are dedicated cycles for specialty applications including impellers.

The licensed 5-axis technology from Moduleworks is good, but not good enough to make high efficiency parts. And the plug-in approach makes for inconsistent UI and additional steps for passing data to the external libraries.
