Are you the instructor? Also let them know to go thru there site and check the spelling as Cad/cam is not spelled Cad/cm.

I have not seen any MC students that have come thru there yet but it is alwas nice for people to know were there might be class's in there area.

I just started mine two weeks ago a begenning mill, solids, and Lathe.

Classes are good for learning if the instructor knows what he is doing. On-site training at your company is well worth the money learn how to do your parts on your machines in the comfort of your work space.

Thanks for the heads up. Not much of a website builder. I am more comfortable in front of a class. Been teaching for years. M/C & Esprit (& cadkey, bobcad, smartcam, ezcam, surfcam, whatevercad). I have taught 100's over the years, in-house and onsite. Just getting ready for the next group. These particular classes are for people who are working.

How long have you been teaching? What is your typical student profile? Good luck with your class.

    Thanks again.

BTW - I think its "classes in their area"

    Sprew,
I didn't see the website first time around, put www.qpetech.com and it will link right to your site. It is a fine web-site, it is hard work to desighn a web-site. Good luck I also teach at a couple local colleges here as well, I have been supporting, teaching and programmig Mastercam for around 15 years now. In the last couple I have been introduced and teaching Gibbscam as well. I have never used Esprit how is it to teach compared to Mastercam?

Ah, and a good sense of humor. If you don’t have a resilient personality before you start teaching, you will soon develop one in very short order.

Sounds like you are keeping very busy. Some of my students have gone on to teach at NTMA and the like. I am quite proud of them.

    Steve:

I remember talking with Gibbs (I think his name was Bill, not sure) at a FADAL open house. He is a driven individual. Back in the day, machines did not have a lot of memory. His software was one of the only products that would create subprograms. Mastercam obviously does that now but I wonder how many people have a need for it. Anyways Gibbs and SurfCam were products I was considering. During a visit to Westec I visited D.P. Technologies. I was blown away by their product. They were very helpful. We developed a relationship.

It is quite interesting how Mastercam became so popular. I am sure everyone believes their particular CAD environment is the best, and are resistant to change. Mastercam is a fine product. I make a lot of code with it. But, ease of use……..

I was at Westec when X was coming out. Sitting on the bench, watching their demonstration. He was demonstrating a “new” technique for trimming. I leaned over to a couple of my students and said “Esprit had that 10 years ago”
