    Newbie in need of help

I'm learning MC version 9 Mill as I go been running it for a whole 2 months now. They let the last programer go and through me into the job. Only programing I'v had is one basic class in gibbs. The thing I'm having trouble with is in pocketing. How do I select where my end mill starts its entry point and plung's to depth? Any help please!

    Thanks

Your entry is controlled by a breaking point in your geometry (Sometimes you will need to break the geometry a surd-en place, to get your desired entry point).
After you have chained your geometry (before pressing done) you will see a option saying "change strt". This feature will give you the option to move your chain arrow.
In your "Roughing/Finish parameter" you will find the option to check "Entry-ramp" and the button will light up. In here you will find all kind of parameters, try to play around with them, also use the help option Mastercam have done a good job explaining the different features. also try Ebay for version 9 tutorial books, they are worth every dime.

put a point in the middle or where you want it to start and pick it then pick the chain.it will then start where the point is plus the tool percentage in the helix or ramp entry.
