    annoying problem

I run version 9 on a network. When I save a file I turn off the toolpath graphics. However, when my group leader opens my files to verify my work, the toolpaths are visible. It annoys him. Is there a setting in the config files somewhere that I am missing?

Is he opening them on the same machine? Did you test yours after you saved it? (Close MC completely, restart and re-open; are paths still visible?) Did you tell your GL to "Lighten up, Francis" ?

He opened the files on two other computers on the network. Same thing happened on both therefore we feel the problem is in my computers config settings.

If you save the file with toolpath display turned off, they will be off the next time you open the file. I can't recall ever hearing of a problem like that, but I'll look into it a bit further. Just to check, have him save a file with them turned off, then you open it and see what happens, (save the file but don't change ANYTHING), then send it back to him and see if they're on.

I'm thinking some how his system might be turning them on on every file. Just a hunch.

btw, XP? What access rights do you have on your system?
