    Default getting dimention on a solid

    hello everyone I brought in this file into mastercam as a solid
    I am trying to get dimention and also move the part to create a new origin
    its not letting me do that?
    can someone please guide me in the right direction of what step to go through so mastercam can recanize the solid.

    im not a export but you may not have solids on your seat convert solid to surface add wire frame and you can move it and analyze it

    Not sure what version you're using but this works through most of the X series and presumably 2017-18 (maybe with slightly different function names).

    Go to: Create Curve-All Edges-

    Activate solid selection, choose either face, or body selection mode (or both), then click on your solid/face. It will create a wire frame around it made of arcs lines and splines. Use this geometry for dimensioning and translating.
