I've got some mc9 mill programs for pockets that I mill into aparts on my Fanuc Robodrill. The parts start out on a swiss machine. We recently purchased the G112 option(polar interp) for the swiss machine and want to do the parts complete on the machine. What I've been doing is taking the .NC program, doubling my "X" values and changing my "Y"'s to "C"'s.This has worked pretty well until I have to make a change, due to endmill size, etc. Here is my question:What is the simplest way to take that pocket toolpath and have it post as a lathe toolpath with polar interp? We have never really used mcam for the lathes and from what I've seen, making a pocket in mc-lathe takes alot longer than doing one with mcmill. Thanks, Scolee |
