for most efficient roughing of this model. on older Fadal machine, (not high speed paths)

Thank You, The model can be either solid or surface, I will try the surface rough parallel first .020 rough scallop, .003 finish with .003 for sanding.

Well it being a surface or solid does not make a difference using any of the surfacing paths. now what version and why not use the HST stuff. those paths are not just for high speed cutting . really they are clean paths with great options. I have used them for some of my customers parts even in the old 88 controls. I have also used them years back on some bodies like yours.

I ended up using Surface Finish Parallel and Surface Finish Flowline, 2D pocket, 2D contour, and then surface project.
Now i need to write first side .STL and flip that .STL over to the opposing side.
Meanwhile back at the kitchen table.

What version of Mastercam are you running. if some what newer no STL needed but Stock model.

I was able to generate all first side cut motion, verify, write progressive .STL s cascade one to next,
Then write first side out and flip over into second side and read in for opposite side input.
I am machining .050 shells thickness and this verify on X3 is light years ahead of the old "Vericut" "N/C Verify"

Back in the late 80's when this solids stl verification code was being written on Fortran77.
I tested on real aircraft molds and parts. It made a n/c programmers job easy.
This was IBM 370 Mainframe computing, I had them loosen up the accuracy,
it was taking 4-5 hours of mainframe output images and resolution was phenomenal.
The real programmers went into medical imaging after aircraft experience
