Hi all, Is there an easy way to fill the holes in on a 3d model? I have a part that has 3 holes in it but i do not want the ball endmill going part way down the holes. Thanks for any help you guys might have.... |

| Once again... We have no idea which version of Mastercam you have, so we'll all guess at the solution. If You have a solid model you can do a "Feature Find" on the Solid and Find the Holes. Then you can supress the holes. With this you can turn them on or off as you need. If you have surfaces you do it different. Mike Mattera

| There is an excellent 3rd party add on called Mold Plus that has an extreemly powerful surface trimming and hole filling features along with manny manny other very powerful features. I recommend you go to www.moldplus.com and check out the SuperTrim product. This is the feature you are looking for. Just so you know I do not work for or get compensation from Mold Plus in any way. I am very familuar with there products and they work really well. Talk to your local Mastercam dealer as you will need to purchase through them. Filling holes is amazingly easy with the supertrim package. AC |

| Didn't mean to be so harsh . It would help us, help you, if we get the total picture of what you have and what your trying to do.And it seems in this case I was a mind reader. MoldPlus is the swiss army knife of modifing surfaces in Mastercam. Nothing else even comes close. But it's only for surfaces. So if your getting Solid Models, it really wont help you. If you get IGES files with surfaces and you do mold work/surface machining, get it. Mike Mattera

| Just for fun you could always create another feature in this case a boss and boolean add to your solid to create a new solid with no holes I have found this helpful with models I didn't create or iges to solid conversions with no data at least the tool won't dive at holes |
