| I'm triyng to get machine (fortunatelly only for learning purposes) the geometry from bellow. I choose Surface Rough--- Rough paralel surface. Then I'm asked to select Boss/Cavity. I go with Undefined. Select "ALL", then I check Entities and Surfaces, End Selection.The "Tool path/surface selection box pops out and I click Containment button. Finally I select my chain like in the picture I attached, but when I close the chaining window, there is not a tool path selected.... and the Tool path/Surface window appears again. I can't figure what I do wrong.... |

Hopefully some of the Mastercam Gurus will chime in to either correct me or tell you the same thing. Cheers!!!!!

| I'm still learning MC unfortunately. I haven't a clue. PM cadcam, Matt Berube, and Mike Mattera. They will know what to do with this. Sorry I can't really help.

| This place is Awsome!!!!!! Here is another one that isn't as big, but there are some real expert Machinists and CNC programmers there. http://cadcamtrainer.com/forums/index.php BTW: Did you try Contour in 2D?

| Well if it's just boundaries, do Contours ans Pockets. Surface machining is for when you have Surfaces or Solids. If it has flat floors, do a Pocket. What your asking is not going to be answered in 10 words or less. Consider a Book or some of my training CD's. Mike Mattera
