Mastercam crashes when trying to open drawings

Hello!

I was importing dxf-s made in Solidworks2013 into Mastercam x3 and that worked perfectly fine.
Recently I switched to Solidworks2014 and when I open dwg or dxf made in SW2014 my MC x3 pops up a Runtime error window saying: "This application has request the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." no error code or anything useful. After that Mastercam crashes.

When I try to open drawings made in Solidworks2014 on other computers, MC x3 just opens a blank drawing.

I can open all of those dxf-s and dwg-s in Mastercam x4 and Catia.

I already tried to:
-change Solidworks2014 back to default settings
-save drawings in previous versions (R12,R14)

Hi I just imported this file into X6 & X4 with no problems I don't have X3 to test

Most of use do not have X3 installed any more. to do any testing. I would get with your Mastercam dealer.

I have a free version of cambam beta 0.8.2. It seems to work very well with dxf's. Sometimes I can't open a dxf properly in mc so I open it in cambam, save it and then it opens in mc. Go figure? It's worth a try anyway. Cambam is free.

There you have it. All I did was download the example file you posted, open it with cambam, save it with cambam, and zip it for the forum.

Now it will open properly in mastercam v8 and I'll bet it'll work in x3 as well.

I do have some ideas on what 'could' be the problem, but I wouldn't want to step on the profit margin of Autodesk, Dassault, Microsoft, and cnc software without being absolutely sure first.
Give the free way a try. It worked for me.
