Tapo amtic you mean floting head for taping as your machine doese not support G84 tap cycle? there was never a tapomatic option in Mastercam unless it was a some type of custom cycle that your dealer created for your post.
Hello,
Does anybody know how to program a Tapmatic head in Mastercam? I remember an old version of Mastercam I think it was X5 had the feature to program it in he drilling cycles. I don't see it in 2017. Is that something you need to pay extra or is it something that we need to activate. Thank you all for your replies

There may be a possibility to use a Reaming cycle for a tap-o-matic
- a ream cycle is normally a feed in / feed out.... all other cycles rapid retract ( ...... bar the tapping cycle)
Check your machine manual for any cycle that does that action...... do NOT use any that retract in rapid
It was probably a custom cycle that was called Tap-matic, it was one of the cycle options in Mastercam not in the post. That type of tapping head uses a G85 "bore cycle" but as soon as I entered the RPM it did the calculation of the feed rate. I just did not wat to edit by hand.
Thank you
