    Default X9 non-responsive at launch

I used X5 and X7 for several years; this is my fist time with X9.

Installed it, try to launch it...
I get a small splash screen with little spinning gears, and after a few seconds I get a full-screen mastercam window, with I guess the "new look" for mastercam (rant - ugly icons, all-caps menu, washed-out color scheme. Hideous!)
I also get the nice little spinning blue-green "wait" circle, and no functionality at all.
No clicks do anything, no highlights over the menus or icons, not even clicking the X to close it.
    Just a spinning "wait" circle.

Not sure how long to normally wait for it to start working, but so far the wait time is longer than the time it takes me to:
    Wait for 30 seconds
    Get bored waiting
    Check email
Fire up a browser and check the weather
    Make a pot of coffee
Click on a few icons or menus just in case
Fire up Task manager, watch mastercam consume memory until it passes 2 gig
Click the X to close it
    Wait for it to close
Give up and force close it from task manager

    Repeat, reboot, repeat, repeat, repeat

This can't be right. I mean - I'll eventually get used to the icons and colors and all caps , but not if I can't use it at all.
X5 and X7 both took forever to launch (well, "Forever" is about 30-45 seconds) but this is in the 10+ minute range.

I tried reinstalling it, then checking the mastercam site, but I cannot post or search or anything else without an account. I tried "create a new account" and never received an email, I tried three different email addresses (corporate, personal gmail, personal protonmail) several times since Monday, but have not received any emails (yes, I checked my spam folders!) so I thought I'd try here.

    System:
    Lenovo thinkstation
    Win 7 Pro SP1
    64-bit
    16 GB RAM
    Xeon E31240 3.30 GHz
    Quadro 2000, driver 368.39

    Any ideas?

    Thx.

I would uninstall and reinstall. X9 blows X5 and X7 aways with its speed and paths and new tools. the new look that started from X8 really a nice improvement. We are at 2017 now. but the X9 based on your computer should run great based on the specks I have laptop I run it on with a little less then that and have done a lot training with them no issues. start time is fast. Al my computer use SSD drives that helps and all have min of 12 gigs of ram and the quedrom M200 or higher.

Did you get this going yet. now to reg with the Mastercam site try doing from the computer that has the dongle on it so it can check it.

Thanks, but we gave up on it after seeing the same problem on several desktop and laptop machines (All Lenovo, all windows 7 64 bit, all with 16gig ram.)
The one engineer who was able to get it running had to leave it overnight before it would finish launching, then it locked up the first time he tried to click on the FILE menu. When he re-launched it, it sat and spun for 45 minutes.
We've uninstalled, reinstalled, whitelisted them on our email server, still no emails.
When it was suggested we reinstall WINDOWS to solve the problem, we sort of had enough of shot-in-the-dark telephone troubleshooting.
Esprit stepped up and let us demo theirs; they even came to our facility to help us install Esprit on our dozen or so machines - but they didn't really need to, because it installed and launched with no issues every time.
Thanks for the reply, and sorry for the long wait!
