Hi Guys I've just had some new tipped tools (Ceratizit) for a turning job. However they don't appear in the library files within Mcam X. Can anyone tell me how to setup the tools to create my own library for these tools? I can get DXF files frm the ceratizit website. Cheers Dave |

| Take the DXF files or draw the tool yourself in MCX. Now save that as a MCX file to the lathe/tools directory and name it as you please. Now when you go to use it you have to create custom tool and specify that tool in the file dialouge box, this will call up your tool part file and use the geometry there. Another suggestion would be to have the tool in the upper right hand quadrant of the cordnate system.
