Mastercam True Type font spacing?

Hi, I am using mastercam V8. When I create some words to be engraved with the true type font, why is the spacing between the letters off? Some letters are farther apart then others.

I believe the reason for this is Mastercam uses the center point of the letter for its spacing and not the distance between each letter.
Ive had this occur as well, only thing I did was Xform/translate till it looked good on the screen. A hassle I know.
