| The guy I visited the other week was having this problem. He solved it, but I have not been back to his shop in a while. He is too busy to do an training right now He makes Molds with Mill V9 level 3 with Solids . The other shop I visit is using Mill V8 Level 3 and wants to upgrade to X2 next year some time.Between all of our schedules it is very difficult. Then again I can't complain because without them there wouldn't be any training at all. I may just take that Demo of X2 that you PMed me about to get some kind of head start. But that will only if I am positive that the upgrade will happen. Maybe I will win the Lottery and get my own, LOL. That woud be nice.

| Note** I'm not very profient with mastercam. Annd my terms will be sloppy. So bare with me.If you're simply milling something. All you have to do is change your view. Change your view so you're looking down on the facing you want to mill. Just be sure to do this BEFORE switching from design mode to machine mode. Or simply change your view and create a new machine group if you're already in machine mode. And the new view will aloow you to machine the right face. If your'e turning a part. I had this exact problem. Cadcam helped me out. I won't be able to go into too much detail. But I had to use Xfrom Project along with Xform roate to get my part line up properly in the top view. And I could start creating toolpaths. Hopefully that helps some. If it is a problem with turning. I can tryy to walk you through it. But I cna't promise I'l get you where you need to be.But like I said. I will try. |

Other than that I will be running my first test part Monday or tuesday.. This Anilam 3000M that I am using doesn't look like the most user friendly.. I cant even get it to turn the spindle on thru interface.. I switch it over to NC and hit the spindle fwd but nothing.. i have to use the main switch above teh spindle... It does however turn on when in a loaded program... are there any sectuions in here that may help with the basics |

| I've been working on a machine with an Anilam 3300 and I know what you mean. I am thinking about a retrofit with Mach maybe, cause I know nobody is going to use this machine the way it is.

| Oh oh.. that is kinda bad news, i was hoping it was just my lack of experience that was making it difficult.... I hope we can figure out a system that is efficient enough to get our parts out relitively easy.... We are not on time constraints in regards to getting parts done or we cant pay the bills so we have that to our advantage.. so i will just keep plodding along... Does anyone know whatthe best way to turn it off?? Do i have to send it to its homw first etc.. then shut down.. i know we have to kinda of do that to the fadal at work.. any ideas.... |

| If you go here: http://www.tipsformanufacturing.com/ you can get a training cd for that control. This is probably the best way to go. If you and/or your operators are open minded enough, then you will probably be ok. The guys we have are not so open minded, and I'm afraid they aren't going to want to learn it.

Either end is a double edged sword for both employer and employee. If they could be Dedicated to eachother it would help build a stronger Industry as well as Country. It is a shame that Greed infects both sides. You have a PM

Agreed. It is my opinion that this is the reason manufacturing in the US is suffering.
