converting MC files to DXF

Is it just me or does this seem to be difficult. Everytime I draw in MC and convert to DXF and open in something else, like solidworks, it dosent come over completly. Missing dimensions etc. I would try some of the other converters but I guess I need an access code (dwg, sat, ascii, etc.) Is there some intermediate system I can go through to get the file converted properly?
