As I understand.. the problem is that I used splines in Autocad and when I use a arc its ok. But how can I fix this so I can use splines in the imported file?

Sorry, I missed this post on the 11th. And no, you didn't say please... j/k,

I'll have a look at the file and get back to you, but first, look at the entities, make sure they're all on the same CPlane, they're chained together, and all at the same Z level.

Sorry, I also missed your post. Use the "region" command, pick all entities. This will connect your lines, splines, and arcs.

Then use the "extrude" command and everything should work fine.

Type REGION in at the command line. I learned on AutoCad 2 in DOS and I don't use the icons or drop down menus much.

Loffy, I reread your post and have to apologize. I was talking about how to extrude in AutoCad, not MasterCam.

I'll shut up and let a MasterCam user answer.

As far as I can tell they are closed in the DWG file.

From the looks of the error, I'd say since you're using splines, it doesn't like them. (Prolly parametric? Nurbs might work)

Try this.. in Mastercam, Main Menu, Modify, X to NURBS, All, Splines, Done.

Now, depending on the accuracy, (I'll assume minimal, so you may need to do this more than 2 pieces), use, Main Menu, Modify, Break, 2 pieces. Select a spline, the click on it in the middle. (Now you have 2 splines there). If you need more accuracy, break those 2 splines in the middle again, as many times as you might need.

Now, Main Menu, Create Arc, 3 points. Click the end of a spline, move your mouse to the approx middle of the same spline and click again, (if you have AutoCursor turned on, it will follow the spline if you're close enough to it), then move mouse to the other end of the same spline, and click a third time.

Now you have an arc that somewhat follows the spline. Do the same for all the other splines.

Next, Main Menu, Delete, All, Splines.

Now try extruding it.

HTH

I know this is late to th show, but use Squash in Mastercam to flatten Z entities that are nor planar to the zero Z plane.
