I'm looking for a file converter to load Autocad files directly into MC9. We produce a lot of storeroom pars as well as equipment for the area manufacturing plants. Frequently our salesman will pick up autocad files via email which we open and print with Intellicad. It would be very convient to import them into MC9 to program my mills. Any suggestions for programs or sources would be appreciated. Thanks Scott

| When you do your installation you may have to check the DXF/DWG association in the set-up menu (I think, it may do it anyway, as long as you choose "Converter" under the file menu). Then under File> choose Converter> then choose Autodesk and it will allow you to read DXF files as well as DWG's. I've done it a dozen times today.

| When I follow those steps I don't get any geometry. It retains the dfx file name with a mc9 extenstion. I have tried Screen>Change Colors> All>Enities>Done with no results. In the config it has associations for the DFX,DWG files and it is set to Post Processor. I've tried changing that too wih no results. Any ideas?

| I dont know, MC9 is qwerky and tempermental, to be nice about it. Theres stuff that has made me nuts that a single semi hidden click somewhere will fix, but if you dont know about it youl never figure it out. Keep posting, someone somewhere knows.

| Glad too. I have deleted all text, part of our security agreement with the corp that owns the design, otherwise it is as it was. I still can't convert it.

| The file was provided by a local corporation. It has dimension and notes on z-depths with a title block. I didn't produce this file, only deleted the dimensions and the proprietary info and saved it with a new name. Email is farrier_ga@mchsi.com

| Opened perfectly. I tried read directory and the several files in the directory were converted and saved as mc9 files, but they are blank. Must be a problem with my converter module. Time to hit up the reseller I guess. Thanks ll
