Is it possible to take a "text" and make the toolpath following a sphere, (C-axis/lathe). Mabe some one got any nice ideas how to do create this kind of toolpath.

If in a lathe you could draw the text, then wrap the text around your part.
Wrap won't work on a sphere. It will only wrap the text around an arc. You need to create the toolpath for the text and then project it against the sphere.
Toolpath/NextMenu/Project should do it.

Project wants to project down. Getting this to work will depend on the size of the sphere. Larger is better. If it needs to be wrapped around the sphere, that might be a little more tricky.

I try wrap text on the sphere many time before, but don't work..... any trick? since you might did it before.
The best way to learn is trial error.
Mastercam Version helps as well....
edit (i just saw that you are trying this on a c axis lathe)
ill look into this for you. it can definetly be done on a mill, however a lathe would be a bit different for a spherical shape

If I 3 axis mill can do it, the lathe with c-axis can too.
depends on the orientation of the text. C axis lathe cant cut the same way as a 3 axis mill, due to lack of a Y axis. just because they both have 3 axis doesnt mean they work the same, if the text crosses the centreline of the sphere on the face of the part, the c axis does not have the ability to provide the modion needed. However if you were projecting text around in an arc that does not cross the C axis centreline it would be possible.

I dont really know what motion you are talking about. I can acess the same coordinate as a 3 axis mill.JUst got to reduce the feed over x0,c0 a bit, but doesnt mastercam fix that automatic? Or am I wrong here ?
IS it possible to export toolpaths as DXF for using it in ex AutoCad?
